Designed and built by the same architect as Eagle’s Nest. Chalet Rocailleux is an extraordinary chalet. As you approach the chalet, its sheer scale is breathtaking and you find yourself in awe of its grandeur, illuminated by dazzling chandeliers hung from the eaves. The heated steps lead to the intricately carved door frame from Afghanistan and the swimming pool can be seen through the panoramic window. Rocailleux perfectly balances the look of an impossibly grand, authentic chalet with cutting edge style and innovation.
Everything has been thought of to enable you to indulge in the ultimate skiing holiday. The swimming pool has its own projector screen and the steam room is disguised as a tiny chalet. Take the lift to the second floor and you are greeted by the magnificent living area with its vaulted ceiling and fabulously stylish decor. Cowhide sofas and light shades are complemented by sensational modern glass chandeliers and the crackling log fire is the focal point of the room. Out on the balcony and in front of the imposing “rock”, the red cedar Storvatt Hot Tub is the ideal place to enjoy a glass of champagne while gazing at the stars. The hosts will mix your drink behind the bar before inviting you to take your seat at the enormous dining table which is fit for a banquet and 14 can be seated in extreme comfort in the black velvet throne style chairs.
The living area is equipped with a 64″ flat screen and DVD/Blu-Ray library, not to mention satellite TV and B&W Zeppelin iPod dock. All of our chalets are non-smoking inside. Each bedroom is beautifully finished in a rustic Alpine style with reclaimed wood and intricately carved furnishings. Every room has an en-suite bathroom and AV equipment. The master bedroom suite is supremely spacious and offers his and her dressing rooms in addition to en suite facilities. Service is delivered by a chalet team, who pride themselves on tailoring your holiday to your needs. Your private chef will amaze you with gastronomic treats while your hosts deliver impeccable service yet melt into the background, leaving you to savour the unforgettable experience.
Chalet Rocailleux comes with seven bedrooms each featuring beautiful Alpine wood and Moroccan wooden ceilings. All bathrooms are en-suite with a mixture of traditional wooden beams and modern slate tiles. The Master Suite is 67sqm of awe-inspiring, pure indulgence – his and hers dressing rooms, private bathroom with separate shower and bath and a projector and screen. The “VIP”-Suite features the rock bathroom where the rockface, against which the chalet is built, runs the length of the bathroom. Every bedroom has a large flatscreen TV, U.K. Freesat HD, PlayStation 3, Sony iPod dock and French digital TV. Each room also has a safe. Brand new is a children’s playroom.
